MacLeans Magazine in Canada recently ran a story about how Feist has a “lost album” that she supposedly doesn’t want anyone to know about, called Monarchs (Lay Down Your Jeweled Head).

Let’s talk about how I just discovered Portland quartet Radiation City. (Fine, you knew about them when they were only a duet in 2008, sometimes it takes time for Cool Stuff On The Internets to get to me.)

This new Wild Flag album has been on heavy rotation lately here at TCR – a great guitar rock album from Carrie Brownstein, Janet Weiss, and Company. The video for ‘Romance’ is a fun little mix of 90′s-esque rock ‘n’ roll with Portlandia style humor (square pie charts?).
